Once upon a time, running while pregnant was seen as taboo. In fact, any type of exercise was shunned as being risky for the baby and the mom.
But was this really true?
In this article, Jessica Booth qualifies running during pregnancy. She says that for many pregnant women, exercise during pregnancy is fine. But she also dives deeper into running, and is running different than other physical activity?
She says it depends on:
How pregnant you are
What your health is like
What your pregnancy is like
How active you were before getting pregnant
She suggests talking to your health care provider before starting anything new. I would add that having the right gear while exercising and pregnant is important.
